The Girl Graduate is a scrap book once belonging to Miss Ellen Hovgard, a graduate of the El Paso School For Girls, the oldest private school in El Paso, Texas. Ellen (class of 1928), appears to have been part of a wealthy family. In addition to attending the college prep school, she received a new car for her 16th birthday and continued to receive new cars for each birthday through her senior year. Ellen's scrap book provides an interesting glimpse into the privileged life of the American teenager on the eve of the Great Depression. The complete scrap book is presented below.
