German peace terms
June 21, 1940

1). German peace terms were handed to French officials in Compiègne today. The French are studying the terms. We have no information as to what they are. Only the preamble has been made available. An effort was made to reproduce the exact conditions using the same RR car in the same spot as was used in 1918.

2). Germans may have seized two French battleships in production.

3). British planes continue to attack German forces throughout Europe.

4). Italians warn U.S. against participating in the war.

5). Isolationists in U.S. protest reselling of materials to France. Senator Nye demands that FDR resign.
