Part 7: Army Life
Section 3 on defense contains some songs about life in the army that were recorded following instatement of the peacetime draft in 1940. After the war began, this genre of song did not entirely disappear. This section contains "army life" songs from the war years, 1942-1945. A more detailed examination of this topic is planned for the future. In the meantime, this archive is presented.
