Hitler's Funeral

Performed by Don Baxter
Recorded c. 1942
Written by Kenny, Silver & Kenny

Last night I had a dream that Schicklgruber passed away
Every nation in the world declared a holiday
They placed him in a pigpen, but the pigs all ran away
yes the pigs, the pigs refused to stay
What a grand procession, everyone was dressed in black
Hirohito carried Mussolini piggy-back
Everyone was crying, they were crying, "Don't come back"
Oh we're glad you're dead you rascal you

[chorus]
Then they started playing leap frog
Everyone was feeling cozy
They played Ring Around The Rosie
To Hitler's Funeral March

When they reached the graveyard it was such a joyful sight
"Hurry up and throw him in" they yelled with wild delight
The undertaker raised the lid and dropped it with a crash
Someone shaved off Hitler's [?] mustache
There he lay, the leader of the so-called master race
He looked very lovely in his lavender and lace
Goering was the first to shovel dirt in Hitler's face
To throw dirt right in the Fuehrer's face

[repeat chorus]

People came from far and near to give a farewell "heil"
Everyone was full of cheer and wore a happy smile
There never was a funeral where the people had such fun
A good time was had by everyone
Now [?] it's true but it wasn't bad
He left a [?] that included Stalingrad
He left [?] Italy, and he did more than that
For he left the German people flat

[repeat chorus]

Heil!
