By June 23rd 1940 Hitler's dream of mastery in Europe had come true, as he triumphantly took Paris after only 10 months at war and then launched his ultimate plan for an Eastern Front. With over 100 minutes of footage, this DVD depicts Hitler's war using rare colour archive footage, including material shot by Eva Braun at the Berghof, much of which has been unavailable in the west since World War Two.

The Enigma Of The Swastika
What are the origins of this dreaded symbol of National Socialism? How did the Swastika evolve from a Buddhist sign of good fortune to the Nazi emblem which would strike terror into the hearts of millions? Research traces the history of the Swastika through a network of shadowy occultist groups to the secretive Thule Society and Hitler’s infant Nazi Party.

The Eagle and the Swastika
Four days after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour, Adolf Hitler declared war on America. This was the only declaration of war he ever issued and one which rescued an American President, privately intent on war with Germany, but hamstrung by popular clamour for a war of retribution with Japan. Why Hitler unilaterally declared war on the most powerful neutral nation on earth is a mystery that has never really been resolved, a mystery later compounded by Hitler’s own observation, “This war with America is a tragedy, illogical and devoid of fundamental reality”.

DISC THREE - KILL HITLER/HITLER’S SECRET WEAPONS

Throughout Hitler’s reign only one group of men remained immune to his infamous charm. Ironically, these were the same men most necessary for Hitler’s dreams of conquest. They were the High Command of the German Army, and repeatedly during the war Hitler’s own generals would plot to remove and later kill their Fuhrer. Despite years of conspiracy and meticulous planning, this most secret aim of Germany’s bravest generals would not be achieved. Why was Hitler never able to command the unswerving loyalty of his own senior military staff? Why, despite all of their efforts, were these generals continually thwarted in their attempts to kill Hitler?

Hitler’s Secret Weapons
During the Second World War, German scientists invented a range of remarkable weapons, the most awe-inspiring of which was undoubtedly the long-range rocket known to history as the V-2. Accorded the highest priority by Hitler, the V-2 was nevertheless an expensive white elephant. Why did the Germans spend so much time and effort developing a space age weapon only to arm it with less than a ton of conventional explosives? Did Hitler have plans to arm the rocket with a more expensive and deadly warhead?
