This model i sbased on the tomb of an important Theban priestess from the New Kingdom. In fact its not just one model but three. You lift the lid of the outer coffin to reveal an inner coffin. Opening up the inner coffin you find the mummy itself, complete with a golden mask and cover

The coffins are painted with gold leaf and highly decorated inside and out with pictures of gods and goddesses and magic spells and prayers in hieroglyphics

The complete model measures approximately 13.6cm high, 13cm wide and 31.2cm long.
