Romanticised by Sir Walters Scott’s famous novel and lionised on the silver screen, the story of Rob Roy has endured across the ages and is burned deep into Scotland’s rugged history.
Born Robert Roy MacGregor in 1671, he embarked upon the life
of an outlaw after the Duke of Montrose seized his land and fortune in 1712. At
the head of his clansmen he pursued a career as a bandit and the stories of his
bravery and courage grew, slowly mixing reality with myth and legend.
Featuring stunning location footage, re-enactments and the
dramatic reconstructions, this DVD gives insight into one of Scotland’s most
historic and romantic characters.
