Uncle Sam, Tell Us Why Are You Waiting?
"Uncle Sam, Tell Us Why Are You Waiting?"
Columbia Phonograph Co.
Performed by George J. Gaskin
Written by Monroe H. Rosenfeld
Recorded 1898

This recording is perhaps the earliest call to arms records made in the days before the war with Spain. It was intended to turn the tide of feeling against Spain after the explosion and sinking of the USS. Maine in Havana Harbor in early 1898.
