New London raids not as bad as Saturday's
September 9, 1940

From London:
1). Bombs fell on London for almost ten hours. Not as many casualties as Saturday. Virtually everyone was underground last night. Two hospitals and some museums were hit. Dive bombers attacked at 0300. People are trying to get to work this morning. Trains are being delayed.
2). Losses of foodstuffs not as bad as originally feared.
3). RAF attacked Germany and France.

Dispatch from Budapest: Hungary was occupied 1/4 of territory ceded by Romania. Public trial of ex-King Carol for mismanaging public funds expected. Carol is in Switzerland but can only stay for thirty days.

From Berlin:

News from Berlin:
1). German aircraft returned to attack London today.
2). London's balloon barrage seems to have failed as a means of defense.

From Rome:
1). Italian raids on British forces in Africa and Mediterranean.

Dispatch from Tokyo: Announcement will soon come regarding negotiations with French Indochina. Possible ban of scrap iron and gasoline going to Japan.
