Price Control

For nineteen straight months the cost of living kept going up, and up, and up. Then on May 18th, 1942, price control went into effect on most of the things you eat, most of the things you use, and most of the things you wear. Since that time your cost of living has stopped climbing. Price control keeps down the costs of things you buy, protects your dollar. It holds down the cost of rent in many areas. It assures you that the cost of most consumer services--services such as laundry and cleaning, and household repairs--will not go up just at this time when you're making the things you now have last for the duration.
