Medley From Waikiki Wedding

Performed by Bing Crosby
V-Disc 525 side B

Intro:

"There was a time when the Pacific islands were a symbol of nothing more serious than moonlight on a silver beach; romance and flowers, and the echo of dreamy guitars. We'd like today to recall "Waikiki Wedding," a foolish fable of those faraway times. It's the saga of a gaga young press agent whose position involves winning plaudits for pineapples. That involves him with a Georgia peach who comes to Hawaii as the winner of a recipe contest. As she threatens to walk out on his publicity stunt she takes her aboard his sailboat and he tells her that she's his dreamboat."
