MacArthur's Here Again

You'll read in future history
of Manila and Bataan;
Our soldiers brave fought gallantly
for our beloved land;
They faced a ruthless enemy,
outnumbered by the score.
This noble band made their last stand
on old Corregidor
Faced with defeat the Gen'ral cried
"Lads we fight in vain;
The battle lost, my country calls,
but I'll come back again."
In prison camps they suffered long,
the years passed slowly by
Until one day when skies were gray,
they heard this joyful cry.

Here comes MacArthur with the old Red, White and Blue,
Here comes MacArthur, his promise to keep true;
Our brave suff'ring heroes
whose hopes seemed all in vain;
Fell on their knees,
gave thanks to God,
MacArthur's Here Again.
